Before starting career in software industry i would like to ask u r u very much confidant on any of the programming language. Can u independently handle any language? If ur ans comes yes then only think for software development line or testing line. Every line is good only depends upon u how much depth knowledge u have. As far as salary is concerned It depends upon u how tactfully and technically u have cleared ur interview not upon the degree or certificate u have with u. If ur ans goes to no for programming then some other line as well for ur career. U can choose embedded system line as well for this u must have sound knowledge of C, C+ and JAVA (complete). Now a days LAMP (Linux Apache MySql and PHP) is ultimate option for Web Development. If u want u can make plan in Networking line as well. Network Admin, Security Admin, System Admin for this u must have to opt RHCE+CCNA+MCITP+RHCVA & RHCSS as well. My dear Raw materials are very cheep but once it become Finished Product it became Costly. But Finished Products also 2 type one is on the Showroom and One on the Footpath. Which kind of product u would like to be. Showroom products looks costly but sale out more costly. They must have to gone through some quality testing. So only Finished and Tested product comes in the market and get good values. So what r u looking for?
You know why ur resume will not get shortlisted, because u don't have any specializations on ur resume. In the army Major/Colonel can be identified by the stars they have on their shoulder not by the uniform. So getting a degree mean u got the uniform but not the Stars as a specialized person. So better try to get some Global Certifications according to ur area of interest and do the job in ur interested area not just like get selected in a mob.
