Let me compare - BSc gives you a broad based vision and knowledge on sciences, and BFA gives a broad based vision and knowledge on creative arts. Why do you want to compare BSc and BFA, please state your goals. Also, on what areas do you want to compare them. And if you are comparing BSc (Animation) with BFA do remember BFA has 4 years and hence more to learn. BSc skips the most important part - that is drawing by hand (preproduction). So you would have to take up Animation Film Design elsewhere.
