This could depend on the particular course you choose since even within the same degree the coverage would vary. So study the course curriculum before you choose it. BFA has one extra year so there's more to learn for you. Alternatively if you go for Bachelors in animation you would have one year extra left to do some specialization or professional training. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. 1. Kala Bhavan (Institute of Fine Arts), Santiniketan
2. Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, University of Delhi, Delhi
3. Sir J.J Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai
4. Faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi
5. College of Art, Delhi
The first leads to a career in useful arts, while the second leads to a career in useless arts.
The chances of making it big, in both, are minuscule, and should not be a reason why one would pick one path or the other.
The reason to pick one or the other is the unreasonable love of it.

There are many good colleges in India for offering M.des in these specializations and the best ones among them are Industrial Design Center (IDC) – IIT Bombay, IDDC- IIT-Delhi, MIT Institute of Design, NID Ahemdabad, Symbiosis, UPES School of Design Studies & NIT Rourkela to name a few. You can select any as per your location preference. All are good and provide good exposure, faculty and placements. Admissions are already running so you need to apply at the earliest. All the best!
