Is Biology not a reasonable prerequisite to expect from future biomedical engineers? Of course it is an appropriate expectation from the engineers, since they are designing for the human body.

The admission into B.Tech biotechnology at VIT Vellore is based on the ranks that you get in VITEEE. You need to opt for PCBE and not PCME.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc programmes
B.Sc (Hons.) Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Biological Science candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology as main subjects and should have secured a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of three subjects and 50% marks in English as a compulsory subject.
