Biotechnology is a rapidly developing field. Many private businesses are exploring this field and heavily investing in it. It is safe to say that there are ample job opportunities for BE /B.Tech Biotechnology Graduates in private sector. Government sector too offers job opportunities. Biotechnology professionals may find jobs are- Pharmaceuticals Industry, Healthcare sector, Chemical Industry, Agriculture sector, Food Processing and Technology as well as Research sector. Nishant sir, don't go with which stream is better. Go with what you want do after studying B.Tech. You may take following considerations. If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. If you want to go in government colleges then go and prepare for IIT-JEE Advanced, and if your wish is to go to private universities then Jamia is best among three. Jamia's academic curriculum and placement records are very good.

How many of your family members exactly know about Biotechnology? Forget family members how many friends know about this field? Now I think you got the answer, this field is still unknown in our country. So we are discussing about the future of the field which even after more than 20 years in India have not been implemented at that level that it'll reach the common man. Although if you'll discuss about the outcomes like jobs in this field:
R & D of Life sciences companies and Pharma companies do need people of this field but some of biotech jobs still taken up by chemical engineers and B.Pharma people. Patent sea

Not compulsorily. Rather, you need to have biology as a compulsory subject for pursuing biotechnology but the criteria could differ from college to college. Some may ask for maths as an addition but not compulsion. So you can go for biotechnology even if dint had maths.
P.S: Choose a college very carefully. Placements are rather important.
