If you have low marks in physics, you can still go for biotechnology, but you will have to score good marks in JEE.

All the streams are equally good and you can get a good salary based on the organisation you are joining. If you want to go to the IT industry, ECE is the option among these, for research biotech is the best option in the current scenario. Chemical will open options in PSUs apart from the private sector.

Chemical engineering is somewhat better than biotechnology in India. If you want to join chemical engineering then try to crack some good GATE rank so that you can get jobs in ONGC, HPL and also in government based chemical sectors. Otherwise, try to go for any booming stream in engineering like civil, mechanical, etc.

Hello Afifa, When one talks of lateral admission in an engineering college, one assumes eligibility of Diploma holders or Science graduates in some of the states. For those students who have completed 12th, it's always admission in first year of four years engineering course. Hence you will not be eligible for lateral admission directly into second year of engineering but will be eligible for seeking admission in an engineering college in first year after following due process. Best wishes to you.
