Biotechnology has wide scope and has its own importance and need. You ll find many opportunities. Job depends how you did any biotechnology course and how much expertise you have in your subjects. Your mastery and your expertise in the field decide your growth. If you have good command over your subjects, you have sufficient Practical knowledge, you are good at soft skills then, nobody can stops you from getting a good job. Go for the college which are good in terms of education and placements. There is no fixed criteria for salary after MBA. It totally depends on your ability & work experience or if you are a fresher it may depend on your institute reputation. If you did MBA from one of the Iims you can command a salary of over 25 LPA or if you are from some other good institution you may get around 10 -12 Lacs per annum.

If you have published papers in good journals, you can earn very high salaries in good companies starting from 30,000 atleast/month.

For people like me who haven't yet chosen relevant career interests, biotechnology is a better choice because of the numerous prospects it offers. It is easier to go into forensic Science or Marine Biology or Pharmaceutical Studies or Environmental Sciences with Bachelors in Biotechnology rather than Microbiology.

For admission in M.Sc, basic eligibility is that you must pass your Bachelor's degree with 55% or more in B.Sc or any equivalent stream.

B.Tech Biotechnology Vs BSc Biotechnology:
B.Tech degree in biotechnology encompasses both the biological sciences as well as the engineering aspect of biotechnology. The B.Tech curriculum will cover life sciences subjects such as microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, etc. and engineering subjects like bioprocess engineering, biochemical engineering, thermodynamics, mass transfer, etc.
