In Biotechnology is a 3- year under-graduate course, involving an advanced study of the cellular and bi-molecular processes for development of a variety of technologies and products that contribute to improving peoples lives and health. The eligibility criteria for this course clearly says that one needs marks of Biology/Biotech, Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics to calculate the aggregate. All 4 of them.

Eligibility varies from university to university. Also, these days universities are offer B.Tech in Biotech, which is better than B.Sc. As it is a professional degree whereas B.Sc. Is just a general degree. Many good private universities like VIT, LPU, SRM, etc. are offering admissions in B.Tech. These private universities offer admission on the basis of tests like JEE and their own tests. Some offer you direct admission too on the basis of your marks in previous qualifying exam.
