I don't know exactly, but I have heard from my friends that many PSU companies like DVC, BCCL, Power Grid Corporation Of India, ONGC, Gail, L&T and many private firms like TCS, Techmahindra, LG, Cognizant go there during campus placement, so if you are qualified enough and able to give the interview well, then surely you can grab the job, but getting the job entirety depends upon you.

Private engineering colleges better for mechanical branch other than BIT-Sindri are VIT Vellore, SRM, KTR.
