Okay so you are confused about BPT and DPT and want to know which one would align with your interests and passions the best. Let me help you out. BPT is a 4 year UG degree followed by an internship for 6 months. You will get clinical training and theory knowledge both that will prepare for you job roles in hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

DPT on the other hand is a shorter course of around 2 years that gives you basic Physiotherapy knowledge by which you can enter into assistant level job roles.

Yes, admissions to BPT in SPM College are merit-based. The candidates who fulfill the eligibility can apply directly without an entrance exam. But it is subject to academic performance and availability of seats.

The college may follow the reservation policy of the state or central government. Total seat intake for the UG programme is 100. Candidates are admitted as per the seat count. As per the official website, there are 85% of General quota seats for open merit and reserve category. Additionally, there are 15% Institutional quota seats. It must be noted that the mentioned seat count is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

KJ Somaiya College of Physiotherapy has a seat intake of 100 for the BPT programme. The seat allotment is done on the basis of applicants NEET scores. It is within the rights of the college to revise the seat count. The mentioned seat details are as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is however still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

The college select students for admission to BPT programme based on merit in NEET exam. As the first step, aspirants need to register and complete the application formalities. In the next step, applications are scanned for eligibility fulfilment and shortlisted based on exam scores. 

After selection, the CET cell publishes a list of the selected candidates. Following this, students need to complete application form and pay the course fee amount. The further admission procedure is carried out as per the NEET brochure.
