To be eligible to the B.E. / B.Tech programme in the Park College of Engineering and Technology (PCET), candidates must have an upper secondary education qualification (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as principal subjects. Eligibility criteria for B.E. / B.Tech courses offered at Somany (PG) Institute of Technology and Management is completion of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or an equivalent examination.

Aggregate marks should be minimum 50% in the subjects, Physics, Mathematics, and one optional subject out of Chemistry, Biology, and Computer Science. Candidates also have to meet the eligibility criteria required for the relevant entrance examination - either JEE Main or state level depending upon the institute's admission process. This will assure one with a seat in his or her desired engineering course.

B.E. / B.Tech candidates need to qualify 10+2 in Science stream with PCM as compulsory subjects. M.E. candidates must have an undergraduate level engineering degree in the relevant or allied discipline.
