Scoring 138 in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) can make it difficult for candidates to secure admission in Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), especially across Government or top private colleges, since the competition is usually stiff. The Central Council of Indian Medicine's rules shall be adhered to concerning the migration of students from other Ayurvedic colleges; that is, after completing the first-year test, the students may be permitted to take the migration to continue their studies at another institution. To get admission in Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), aspirants need to qualify NEET exam with at least 300 marks and above but for top ranked colleges aspirants should score more than 400 or 450 for a smooth admission.

Eligibility Criteria

The basic eligibility criteria for pursuing Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS) course is a pass degree in Higher Secondary Examination or 10+2 in Science stream with subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised college or university.

The students who have studied Urdu in class XII or having proficiency in Urdu language will be given preference in admission.
