GIBS doesn't keep very strict or very high cutoffs, which is one big plus. Generally, if you have around 60–70 percentile in CAT, 60–65+ in MAT, or 70+ in CMAT, you're comfortable for the PGDM/MBA process.

They also look at your overall profile, communication, academics, and how you perform in the interview. So even if your score is a bit lower, you still have a good chance if the rest of your profile is strong. Overall, the cutoffs are quite student-friendly and give everyone a fair opportunity.

GIBS honestly helps a lot in building leadership and personality. We get so many chances to talk, present, handle events, be part of clubs, and work in teams — so confidence automatically improves. The IRE sessions and CPMP classes also push us to become better in communication and decision-making.

Even for ethics, teachers always guide us with real examples and simple discussions, so we understand what's right in the corporate world. Overall, GIBS makes sure we grow not just as students but as responsible and confident people.

Yes, GIBS does have a management quota or direct admission, but the eligibility criteria like minimum 50% marks in graduation is applicable.
Other than the fact that less weight is given to the entrance exam scores, the major difference from the regular merit-based process is that admission is more based on the candidate's academic profile, interest in the program, and performance in the GD/PI rounds.
The regular process places strong emphasis on the scores obtained in national/state entrance exams, while the management quota offers a more flexible pathway to get a seat for the eligible students.

Yes, at GIBS Business School, internships and industry projects are an integral part of the PGDM course.

  • According to student-reporting, the “Industrial Internship Project (IIP)” — normally 10-12 weeks full-time after the first year — is required to complete the degree.
  • Their PGDM curriculum holds “Practice School” credits and project credits which indicate formal coursework dedicated to real-world projects.
  • The brochure of PGDM mentions “Industrial Project-based Learning” - comprising industrial live projects, social internship projects, and industrial internship projects - as part of the teaching pedagogy.

So yes - studen
