Basic difference between MBA and MEM is in their focus. MBA offers broad and general business knowledge - is for experienced professionals for senior roles. MEM is for STEM or engineering students who want to lead technical projects and teams.

One thing I really liked at GIBS was that clubs and committees aren't just for “fun” or attendance. We get a bunch of options like marketing club, finance club, HR club, entrepreneurship club, cultural committee, sports, and even things like IRE activities for innovation stuff. When you join any of these, you actually start getting comfortable with teamwork, leadership, hosting events, and even speaking in front of people, which honestly helps more than we realize.

I genuinely felt that faculty at GIBS don't limit themselves to just teaching the syllabus. I personally felt it's helpful for students like us who are juggling between different exams, because GIBS doesn't make it overly complicated. Even if the score isn't extremely high, they still look at your profile, interview performance, and motivation to study PGDM or MBA. So the entrance exams matter, but they don't keep it overly stressful or gate-k

GIBS is actually pretty active when it comes to global exposure. They have collaborations with different foreign universities and organizations, so we get to attend international guest lectures, webinars, and certificate programs. Students also get chances for global immersions, study tours, exchange-like experiences, and even international internships if they're interested.

Honestly, these things help a lot because you hear how business works in other countries, and it broadens your mindset beyond just Indian markets. Even CPMP and IRE programs bring in foreign trainers and entrepreneurs, which keeps things global and updated. For plac
