PGDM I. e Post graduate Diploma in Management is equal to or equivalent to PGP I. e Post Gradaute programme a flag ship programme of Indian Institute of Managements in India and some of the other Top independent Management institutes. More or less the name PGP if given to PGDM programs of these prestigious institutes. So some time it is being also is PGP PGDM by these institutes. So there is nothing much to differentiate between these courses except their names and the names and level of institutes providing these courses.

Yes, there are Internships for students which is mandatory for all to attend.
A student can choose to go for an Internship anywhere of there free choice, rest they can use the help of University's Internship Program, where the students are provided Internships and Summer training by the institute themseleves.
