If you're planning to join GIBS, my advice would be to make the most of your college life and not focus only on exams. Try to take part in activities, interact with your classmates and don't hesitate to ask faculty for help. I studied at GIBS, and I feel you learn a lot when you get involved instead of just attending classes.

• Take presentations and group projects seriously because they help build confidence.

• Participate in events and activities and make good memories with your friends.

• Start working on your communication skills and resume early.

• Attend guest sessions and make use of placement preparation.

• Before joining, check the fees, course details and placement information to see if they match your expectations.

Overall, enjoy your college days, learn as much as you can and make use of the opportunities available. You'll get more out of the experience that way.

When I joined GIBS Bangalore, I wasn't as confident as I am now, especially when it came to presentations and speaking in front of people. During my PGDM, we had presentations, group projects and college activities that slowly helped me come out of my comfort zone. You get more comfortable with time because you keep interacting with different people and trying new things.

A few things that helped me were:

• Giving presentations in class and speaking in front of others.

• Working on group projects and learning to coordinate with people.

• Taking part in college events and activities.

• Getting guidance on communication, interviews and professional behaviour.

These things may seem small at first, but they really help over time. Personally, my time at GIBS helped me become more confident, and I also got placed in an MNC with an 11 LPA package.

I feel GIBS is different because college life here isn't just about going to classes and preparing for exams. There's a good balance between studies, practical learning and other activities.

• You get to be involved in clubs, fests, competitions and sports, so there's always something happening apart from academics.

• Things like presentations, events and group activities also help you become more confident and improve the way you communicate.

• There are industry interactions, guest sessions, projects and internships, which give you a better idea of what the actual corporate world is like.

• Career preparation is also given importance, especially when you start thinking about internships and placements.

• There are also opportunities to explore areas like entrepreneurship, innovation and different skill-based activities.

Personally, I think that's what makes GIBS appealing. You're not just studying for a degree; you get opportunities to try different things, meet new people and slowly build the confidence and skills you'll need after college.
