Candidates must have completed their 12th grade from a recognised board in any stream in order to be admitted to the BBA programme at GIBS Bangalore. A good academic record and an ability to communicate effectively will be beneficial while going through the selection process. For PGDM, students must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Students need to have also appeared for an entrance exam like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT or ATMA and need to have a valid score for consideration. Shortlisted candidates will go through a personal interview to assess their interests and motivation to the course. GIBS mainly looks for students who are serious about their learning and are industry-ready.

In comparison to DPGU, MIT-WPU usually provides more opportunities to students pursuing an MBA. It has a better brand, more industry connections, and a more structured placement support. Students at MIT-WPU also take advantage of corporate tie-ups, internships, and exposure to global business practices. The campus allows for innovation and leadership, which can lead to opportunities with some of the top companies. DPGU is becoming more established and has potential, but its placement and industry reach is still developing. MIT-WPU tends to be the more certain choice for MBA aspirants if you're looking for a better return on investment, a variety of career choices, or an elite peer cohort.

Bangalore has several reputed institutions that provide good courses for MBA and B.Ed. Some of the best institutes for admission into MBA programs include IIM Bangalore, Christ University, NMIMS, SIBM, Alliance University, Jain University, and XIME. This is a strong selection of orbits with good placements for study specialisation such as finance, marketing, and analytics. Likewise, some of the well-known colleges for B.Ed programs are Christ University, Bangalore University, NMKRV College for Women, Al-Ameen College of Education, and Vijaya Teachers College. Each of these universities have a student-centered structure that emphasizes teaching skills, classroom management, and educational psychology, Generally, these institutions require completion of an undergraduate degree for admission into either program, and further require entrance tests or interview as part of their admission process. Overall, Bangalore is a centrally located city with good academics and career potential which make it an attractive location for both MBA and B.Ed education.

In general, Somaiya Vidyavihar performs better than DPGU with respect to placements for MBA students. Somaiya has more seniority, better access to industry contacts, and is more consistently recruiting from higher tier firms. Also, being located in Mumbai gives all the students access to higher opportunities for corporate exposure and internships. DPGU is still new and in development stages, so their placement record remains in development as well. They do get companies like Wipro and TCS to campus, but Somaiya is seeing more consistent roles and at higher package earners. If your first priority in school is job outcomes and ROI, Somaiya is generally going to be the better option, especially for those students wanting to pursue finance, consulting, or marketing type roles.
