One of the most common postgraduate degree courses that prepares you for managerial and administrative professions in management is the Master of Business Administration. It is a 2-year programme that is basically divided into 4 semesters, but the time period may differ depending on the degree.
Despite its growing popularity, the Master of Management Studies programme is still relatively new in comparison to the MBA. It is also a degree that will land you a profitable job in business. This degree is also two years lengthy and divided into four semesters, but there are no modifications - only the master's course.

The industry perceives the value of MMS to be equivalent to an MBA or a PGDM. As stated above, the course curriculum is on similar lines as that of the MBA and PGDM and the students get ample industry exposure along with approximately three-month summer internship. Moreover, if s/he is armed with an MMS degree from reputed institutes like JBIMS or SIMSREE, then its value is considered equivalent as that of a PGP from IIMs or MBA from FMS, Delhi or IIFT or a PGDM from XLRI Jamshedpur or MDI Gurgaon.

Yes, you can study PhD after doing an MMS degree. Many people do this in order to further their education and advance their careers.
The eligibility requirements for PhD programs will differ from one university to another. Some common requirements are mentioned below for your reference -
- A master's degree in a related field
- A strong academic record

Yes, internships and industry exposure are common components of many MMS also known as Master of Management Studies programmes. This is due to the fact that internships are an excellent opportunity for students to obtain hands-on experience in the field of management while also networking with professionals.

A two-year post-graduate management programme known as the Master of Management Studies (MMS) has been authorised by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
It is essentially an MBA-style management course. The post-graduate management degree programmes are offered in some universities under the names MBA and MMS, respectively. The majority of Maharashtra's universities provide MMS as an alternative to MBA. The MMS curriculum is made to help people who want to work in the industry enhance their business management abilities and get the training they need.
