Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, only considers TANCET percentile score. TANCET actual score is calculated by allotting 1 mark each for the correct response and deducting 1/3 mark for each incorrect response. The actual score can be converted into a percentile score after evaluating the total test takers with an actual score that is less than a particular test taker. For example, Mohan has an actual score of 59 marks, and 95% of the total test takers secured an actual score below 59. In such a case, the percentile score of Mohan will be 95. TANCET scores are valid for a period of one year. Candidates aspiring for admission in 2025-26 exam session can only use the TANCET 2025 scores for admission.
