BBA (hons) and BBA are different courses. Both these courses have the same curriculum but in hons. You will be concentrating more on some extra or certain subjects.

The minimum cutoff for good IIM colleges is 90 percentile.

40 percentile will get you a tier 3 college. Which isn't recommended. If not a star or tier 1 college, a tier 2 college would have been atleast okay on the placement side. But not tier 3.
