Sudarshan, first you understand the meaning of both words. CA is a professional Course, where as Economists is term used for scholar of economics. A CA may be a economists.

Hi Manoranjan,
CA is one of the good career option as it offers good career prospects and excellent growth opportunities.
Please remember Chartered accountancy is the core of all business, be it big or small. A chartered accountant's work involves auditing, taxation, accounting and financial planning. It can be a very challenging and rewarding job.
All those companies which are registered under the Companies Act are required to get their accounts audited only by practicing Chartered Accountants.
So a qualified Chartered Accountant has the opportunity to join the Government Service, Public Sector and private sector.

Hi,
If you are a graduate then you may opt either CFA or CA but again both the programme will take 3-5 years.
If you are planning CFA only do cFA USA or CFA Australia

Hi. In CA its not years but varies levels. There are three levels of exam and articleship training is mandatory. As per the current provision if you possess a degree then you are directly eligible for second level (IPCC) and you are exempted from first level (CPT). All the best !

As Neda has mentioned, there are lot of courses you can look at. People in general have a wrong notion, that an MBA will get them their dream job. The scenario is slowly changing. If you go for CA then you have to concentrate only on CA otherwise it is difficult to clear any exam both CA and LAW is good , but you have to choose one and with LAW you can not do any other course or degree
