This is a new course and integrates both electronics and electrical section. The career eventually falls into two parts : electronics or electrical. Mostly, the subjects taught would be pf electrical. But you would always have a choice to switch to electronics. You can go for GATE with either of the stream for the career in govt jobs. The private core companies as well as the government ones will recruit you as a testing engineer or analyst during the start and you can end at even becoming the chief engineer. At last, you also have option to make your career in IT sector if you somehow lost interest in this department.

There are several options for B.Sc in physics if you choose to pursue higher studies. Otherwise, mere graduate degree is just sufficient for couple of govt. jobs.
You can apply for JAM (55% is minimum required in B.Sc for applying in JAM) and can go for a Masters degree from any IITs. Not only in physics but also you can apply for energy science. However, if these are the pros then the cons are that even M.Sc in physics is not enough to get a job from IITs. You have multiple options to choose based on your requirements. If you want to do a job, you can try for government jobs or if you want to go for higher studies, it's better to crack a good rank in GATE so that it will helps you in getting a good government job as well as for getting a seat in a good college for higher studies.

Are you doing a job? If you landed a job then you should work in a company for 3 years then you can do MBA as work experience is important for MBA.

Fee structure varies greatly according to the college. For government colleges, it's around 30k whereas for private, it may go up to 15 lacs.
