There is no particular course which can guarantee you a job. When you talk about a job be clear as to what kind of job you are looking for. Where do you want to settle? Which area in mechanical engineering do you enjoy the most? Check career outcomes of fields like automobiles, robotics, aerospace, manufacturing design, etc. and see what interests you. You can also be more specific with your plans for better guidance.

Although, the aviation industry is booming up but not enough jobs are available in the market to absorb all commercial pilot licence holders and competition is increasing day by day. Rather than struggling for a job after completion of pilot training, it is definitely better to get one first and then start training.

After completing class 12th, you need to appear for various entrance examinations. I would suggest you to appear for IIT JEE Mains and Advanced. These two entrance examinations provide admissions to IITs/ NITs and other government colleges, which are cost-effective.
I would also suggest you to appear for individual state examinations (OJEE in Odisha, EAMCET in Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, COMEDK in Karnataka, etc.). These exams also guarantee you good colleges and serve as a backup in case things don't end up the way you've planned for IIT-JEE
Every state has its own share of good engineering colleges. So, don't underestimate
