I see that many students get confused with the different names provided by the different institutes for the same course and you are no exception. Computer Engineering and Computer Science Engineering refer to the same course. No course can guarantee you good placements. While it's the college's responsibility to bring in as many relevant companies as possible, getting placed in the company depends on the skills and knowledge of the student. I hope this answers your question. If you have any further questions, kindly revert.

Most of the good courses such as PG Diploma in Mobile Computing by CDAC are for engineers or BCA/MCA/ B.Sc CS students. However, some computer training institutes also offer Mobile Computing and Apps Development courses where eligibility criterion are not very stringiest. After diploma in computer science, it is better to study B.Tech or B.E. because diploma is not engineering. To increase job opportunity and scope, you should complete your graduation in engineering.
After diploma in computer science, you will also get a job. You also may join in software company like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS and many more. But your salary will be less as you have only diploma degree. Your opportunity will be also less.
So, try to first complete your graduation and then try for a better job. Or, go for further higher study. You may take lateral entry directly in second year of B.Tech if you wish after your diplom
