Yes, because you will have only limited attempts to appear for the exam and if you don't fare well in UPSC then you have various other options like SSC-CGL, PSC, bank exams which are far easy when compared to UPSC.

You must have attained 21 years of age and you must have a graduate degree from recognized institute. You will be given IAS or IPS according to your rank.

Hi,
You can't opt for any course in UG level. Your subject in UG level doesn't affect your IAS exam. After attaining 21 years of age you need to appear for UPSC, based on which you will be allotted IAS or IPS.

The easy way to earn money is to work abroad. Having at least ITI or Diploma gives you the reasonable amount of money. After graduating in engineering you will get huge amount of money there.
