See the direction course paper of FTII consisted of two sections(as I knew four years back): Section 1 had GK and Current Events which had 20-25 marks and the rest 75-80 marks were on section 2,which consists of some specific aspects. Well, if he is not good in studies then you must find out what attracts him and accordingly choose a course that gives him job once he complete the course,. It can be a diploma course like Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Computers, Mass Comm and he can complete his graduation with easy subjects from universities offering distant program like Meerut side by side
