Preetham, I would suggest engineering because its studies would enhance your power of reasoning, your mathematical ability and to to be able to think on a wider scale. All these would come to you very handy while writing the UPSC exam for IAS and similar career. Past records have also shown that engineering students tend to gain in such exams if they apply themselves properly. Besides, engineering can open more avenues for you incase you do not get a good ranking in the UPSC exam.
