Yes its a good career . Its a domain which involves the programming and coding skill in combination with design and 3D CG asset creation knowledge . More over maximum of the companies prefer to hire a person who has a lot of exposure to games , so basically you must have played a lot of games and must have passion for it.
I;m not sure what is your academic background , but what is needed is programming and coding knowledge + design & 3D software knowledge , preferably in softwares like Maya/ Max / z-bruch / mu box etc.

There is not much difference between MBA abroad and PGDM /MBA from top 5 IIMs and other top B School of India. Other then top B School in India quality of faculty and teaching is no match for top B Schools of USA & West.

If you want to be a software engineer than you have to either pursue engineering i e BE or btech .else you can go fo BCA+MCA. But i would recommend you to think about your pros and cons. Take time and choose the right path is it engineering or BCA+MCA.

Vacancies varies each year in Central and State Governments. There is no quota system subject or degree wise in UPSC or MPSC. If Defence is your target area why do not you appear for CDS conducted by UPSC to become Commissioned Officer in Indian Army.
