You have following options to become Mechanical Engineer (a) BTech / BE Mech in a Engineering college (b) Diploma in Mech Engineering then lateral entry into BTech second year (c) AMIE Engineering degree by self education . You may chose option based on your personal conditions.

You can go for BA Political Science or Public Administration. It will be helpful in exam.

You have to appear UPSC Civil Service Examination.
