The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is a masters level programme, leading to the grant of a degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA). The two-year, full-time, residential programme is designed to equip students to take on leadership roles in an increasingly complex and dynamic global scenario. Hello Dadu Dayal, It's very nice to hear from you that you have already started thinking of doing your MBA from IIM Kolkata. To have such precise and clear-cut aim is indeed a great trait of a student. Once you have decided on your aim, you can definitely work towards achieving it. You have got reasonably good marks in 10th, 12th and engineering so what is left now is to crack CAT with good marks. Hence I would advise you to study well, take tuition, online coaching and then only appear for this common admission test for IIMs. I am sure once you do this you will get admission in your dream institute.
Best wishes to you.

Hello,
MAH-MBA CET is the best option for getting admission in Jamnalal Bajaj (JBIMS) since its cut-off is slightly lower than that of the CAT. Also, CET itself is easier than CAT.

Hello,
CAT is surely easier than UPSC since one needs not to spend more than 6-8 months to prepare for it. In addition, it tests candidates only in three areas: English, maths, and logical reasoning.

To get into IIM - A, you need to score reasonably decent in your 10th and 12th exams. That means somewhere around 80 - 90% is a must need. This is because they do check your past scores and it is one of the important factor of evaluation there. May your CAT score be good but if your academics and other factors like GD, PI doesn't turn out to match there satisfactory level you would surely loose admission.
