You can't get admission in JBIMS with 55.26 percentile in CAT. The cut-off for getting admission in JBIMS through CAT usually goes very high.

Hi Manoj,
Yes, you are eligible. The IITs accept all graduate degrees. SJMSOM (IIT Bombay), VGSOM (IIT Kharagpur) etc. are good.

Use Shikshas IIM Call Predictor Utility for getting an idea for colleges you are eligible for. However, 60% in CAT isn't very good. You will be better off seeking a college for direct admission.

Hi Simran,
Last year, CAT cut-off was 83%ile, and cut-off changes every year. However, you can apply through CMAT, XAT and CMAT as well. Last date to apply is today which is 10th Jan 2018. Keep your options open.

Entrance exam for JMI is definitely less difficult than CAT. I personally did not refer any particular book. Studied from internet and study material from a coaching institute. The concept should be clear to you. Thats it. Better you study according to entrance syllabus which will available from website.
Admission would be followed by entrance then GD and PI. Combined score will decide the admission. The forms will be out on Feb second week. And the entrance will be in June. So you should start preparing now. The entrance will not be that much difficult.
