IIMs doesn't publish the Cutoff. Also all IIMs have different criteria (weightage for 10th, 12th, graduation,CAT score, gender, work ex) for calling for interview. You will get more on this on IIM websites. So, it is difficult to say the minimum cut-off.
The best thing to do is to practice and score well in CAT exam.

Regular and consistent efforts helps a lot. In terms of knowledge it will helpful if you have basic knowledge of mathematics. Reading books help in reading section. And there is no rank, its percentile in lay man terms where do you stand among the total number of students writing the CAT.
Since you are doing B.Tech, my suggestion will be to concentrate on academics, participate in all activities which will help you to find your interest area, increase your general knowledge(Newspaper preferably English). For CAT, 1 hour/ day will be more than enough.

Hello Aishwarya,
The definition of best varies from person to person. For some students, national status matters more and for some others, the main criteria is international standing. Please let me know more details about your requirements so that I can give you more specific advice.

Hello! The cutoff of all major B-schools accepting CAT scores is generally always 95+ percentile, and not as low as 50 percentile. So if you wish to pursue your MBA from a good, reputed B-school, you have to score really well.
