All IIMs have different cutoff percentage for CAT. You can check previous cutoffs in IIMs websites. Also, IIMs do give weightage to 10th, 12th & graduation, work experience, gender diversity etc. Please check the minimum qualification requirement and start regular preparation. Best wishes.

Hi Hardik,
Well it all depends on what works for whom. The most popular classroom coaching in India are TIME and Career Launcher. The experience of classroom coaching varies across centres and similarly the results. So if you are considering either you should research more on the centre that you intend to join.

Hello Akash! You can start preparing for CAT in your third year itself, but there is no need to join any coaching class as of now. For the time being, you can focus on improving your vocabulary(by reading good books, novels, editorial columns of leading newspapers, etc) and mental calculations. You may also solve the logical reasoning based puzzles in your free time. Just ensure that your CAT preparation doesn't affect your engineering studies, as these engineering marks/CGPA will matter a lot during the admission procedures of the various B-schools. All the best!

Hello,
Apologies for the late reply! Yes, as long as one scores minimum 50% marks in his/her graduation, one can appear for the various MBA entrance exams held like CAT, XAT, NMAT, etc.
