Re-appear would not be a hindrance in your admission provided you cleared it and rest of the exams with a commendable percentage. As IIM A is more biased towards your academics, a good score is a kind of pre-requisite for the same.

If you are referring to admission to IIM A, that would depend on multiple factors over and above CAT percentile. Your CAT percentile plays a minority role in your final selection. I would suggest you to revert with your profile for me to suggest a ballpark figure.

Your academic record is tad bit below average even for OBC category. I would suggest that you should give your best and score above 99 percentile or more to expect an admission call from IIM-A, B or C.

70 percentile is the cutoff score to be considered in most of the IIMs. I would suggest you to try harder to score more than 70 percentile because the colleges you would get with 70 percentile does not have good ROI. You need to score well to get into top B-Schools of India. FMS-Delhi is a top college in terms of ROI. The cut-off for this college is 99+ percentile. Other known institutes are IIT-B/D/Roorkee/Kanpur with good ROI.

Hello Akshay,
Yes, you can write CAT exam, but after that you will have to clear all your backlogs for being eligible to get admission into any college.
Good luck.
