Here is the difference between CAT and CET Exam:
1. Every year approximately 48,000 students/applicants appear for CAT, while, close to 72,000 students appear for CET, as this exam is gaining more popularity since past few years.
2. As per the analysis, to seek an admission in reputed and renowned institutes accepting CAT scores like IIMs and SP Jain, one has to score 4/10 (assuming 10 as total), whereas seeking an admission in one of the best institutes accepting CET scores like JBIMS, one has to score 9.5/10 (assuming 10 as total).
3. The CAT scores accepting colleges offer maximum Rs.30 lakhs annually and minimum Rs.10-15 lakhs annuall

CAT Exam Test Date: First week of December 2017
Online Registration for CAT: Second week of August to Fourth week of September 2017
Results Declaration: Second week of January 2018
Admit Card Download Window: Second week of October 2017
This is the recent year dates and if you are seeing for next year, then the dates are not declared yet.

Generally, there is no difference in fee structure for students who have got admission based on CAT or without CAT score. Fee may be different for students who have taken admission against Management quota or against NRI quota.

If you do CA then you don't need to do MBA and if you do MBA then you don't need to go for CA. Who told you that CA has less finance curriculum? It's completely wrong. CA is totally about finance, accounts, auditing, and taxation and you can do CA after MBA but in my opinion, you should do one of these.

Your B.Tech might prove as a downer for IIM A/B. I would suggest you to try upwards of 99.7% marks for calls from top B-schools in India.

Top B-Schools consider CAT/ XAT/CMAT score for selecting students. So if a candidate wants to get admission in a good and recognized B-School then he/she should compete in above-mentioned competition exams.

You are advised to prepare and appear for CAT so that even if you do not get admission in IIM, you may get admission in other top B-Schools which use CAT score.
