If you are interested in mass communication, then you can go for the subject related to that field. I guess, commerce will be helpful. If you are interested in science, then after class 12th you have numerous opportunities. It all depends on your interest.

Yes, 10th marks will be a stepping stone of your future, if you have interest in science than you will get science/commerce/arts or any other option stream for next 2 years (11th and 12th) based on 10th marks.

The eligibility criteria to sit for placements are 60 percent and above throughout (10, 12 and graduation) . Even your percentile scores that is CGPA which you will score during your first year MBA and Summer Internship should be above average which is very easy to score even in the cut throat competition as MBA is not so difficult to pursue . It is just a myth that people find MBA difficult .

These percentages won't effect your internship but your 12th percentage that is below 60 may effect your chances of sitting for few good companies like Nestle and ITC Hotels. Nestle demands 50 percent and above in 10th, 12th and Graduation and there should be no academic gaps from 10th to graduation, not even a single year, and the percentage should not be even 49.9, though you fit into the criteria of Nestle if you don't have any academic gaps. ITC hotels demands 65 percent and above throughout.

You need to clear your 10th with a good score. If you are interested in science/commerce than you can opt accordingly. If down the 10 years you want yourself to work in engineering field than better to go for science stream and pursue graduation in engineering. If you are looking for business or chartered accountant then commerce is the stream you should look for.

Hi,
To pursue Diploma after class 10th is not fruitful for you and it has no use too. If you are very much interested in business area, first you take commerce stream in PUC/class 12th and then BBA. After completing BBA, you can go for MBA.
All the best.
