To be eligible to appear for CEE AMPAI WB, aspirants should ensure they fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Aspirants must be an Indian citizen
- Aspirants must be minimum 17 years of age on Dec 31. There is no upper age limit for the exam. As proof, students can produce the date of birth recorded in Class X examination under any School/Secondary Education Board Certificate/Admit Card. For admissions to B.Tech programmes:
Aspirants must have passed 10+2 Examination from a recognised Council/Board
- They should have secured individual pass marks in Physics and Mathematics along with any one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Computer Application as Compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory & practical wherever applicable) in regular mode. - They should have secured a minimum of 45% marks in the subjects mentioned above taken together. - They should also have passed in their English subject in 10+2 with a minimum of 30% marks
Note: Aspirants appearing in their 10+2 exam in 2018 will be eligible to take the exam. However, if they fail to pass the exam with the required minimum standard of eligibility criteria mentioned above, they would not be eligible for allotment of seats for admission.

Mechanical Engineering is evergreen branch of Engineering. Different branches have tier lows & highs but in last 6 decades charm of Mechanical branch has remain high. CSE is now days a prime branch because of the highest job opportunities since late 90s. Slowly charm of branch is fading because of outcry against outsourcing in West. Job opportunities in CSE are tied to Western Economy and political pressures. With availability of large pool of CS resources in market, average salaries have gone down. Also IT industry requires only junior resource to compete in low rate competition. However availability of number of jobs are still the highest among all branch. However it is suggested that you take a branch based on your interest to do well in career.

Candidate should be 17 years old on or before December 31st of the year of admission. The upper age limit for admission under 15% of All India Quota is 25 years on December 31st of year of the examThe candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC have the upper age limit extended to 5 years, I. e. 25+5 = 30 years. The candidates who has given the intermediate exam, and its result is yet not declared, are eligible toapply for AIPMT 2016. Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English in the qualifying exam by scoring 50% marks and their equivalency determined as per the Medical Council of India's regulations and concerned University.
