You have not mentioned from which background you belongs to. If you are from PCM, I will suggest you to do B.Tech CSE. The way technology is growing and impacting our life CSE has a lot of scope and is a better option. Yes, you can do hotel management courses after completing your 12th standard. After your 12th, you can do Certificate and Diploma courses in hotel management. You can do the following courses:
1. A Diploma in Hotel Management
2. The Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology
3. The Diploma in Hospitality Management

No, a 12th student can not take the CAT exam. The eligibility criteria to appear in the CAT exam is:
1. The applicant must have completed a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
2. To be eligible, students must have at least a 50% graduation rate. SC, ST, and PWD candidates, on the other hand, must have 45%.
3. If your university awards grades or CGPA, then the conversion factor given by the university has to be used.
4. You can also apply in your final year, but you will need a pass Certificate from the previous year to be eligible to appear for the CAT exam.

Candidates appearing for 12th board final exam are also eligible to appear for this test. However, they must be able to provide proof of passing 12th board during counseling or admission process. As discussed before, eligible candidates may apply for UGAT exam online. The main aim of this test is to facilitate admission of eligible candidates into B-schools for UG level programs such as IMBA, BBA BHM BCA etc.
