Moderation policy is in favor of students this bridges the difference between difficulties experienced in solving the question in a specified time due to misinterpretation/ambiguity of questions and errors, if any, leading to multiplicity of performance and causing constraints on consumption of time for other questions. Yes, you will be able to apply in DU with one year of gap after the class 12th. One or two years of gaps is not a big issue, so you can apply there.
