About the exam

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) conducts the Maharashtra HSC examinations every year. This year, the examinations will be conducted between April 23 and May 21. The Board sets the syllabus and exam pattern for the 12th board examinations. Students must follow the same and solve previous years' question papers to prepare well for the exams. The board has reduced the Maharashtra HSC Syllabus by 25% for the academic session 2020-21. Maharashtra HSC Result 2021 will be released in July on the official website.

The exams are held in two shifts: Morning (10:30 am to 1:30 pm) and Evening (3 pm to 6 pm). According to the qualifying mandates of the Maharashtra HSC Exams 2021 set by the Maharashtra Board, students must score at least 35 per cent or above to pass the 12th board exams. The 35 per cent include marks secured in both practical and theory exams. In case, the student fails to secure 35 per cent, s/he has to appear for the Maharashtra HSC Supplementary exams in order to pass the Maharashtra HSC Exams 2021. However, Class 12 students will appear for their term-end examination for a total of 600 marks instead of the prevalent 650 marks from 2021. 

Last year, the examinations were held between February 18 and March 18, and the HSC Result was announced on July 16 at 11 am. It was made available for download at 1 pm on the official website. Students can check their Mah HSC Result using roll number and mother's first name. The original mark sheet can be collected by students from their schools respectively after a few days of declaration of result.

Maharashtra HSC Time Table 2021

The Board has released the final Maharashtra 12th time table on February 26, 2021. The examinations will be conducted between April 23 and May 21. The Maharashtra Board HSC time table has been announced for Science, Commerce & Arts streams on mahahsscboard.in. Maharashtra HSC 2021 time table comprises the dates and time for the exam of all subjects. The board conducts the Maharashtra Board 12th exams in two shifts, morning (11 a.m-2 p.m.) and evening (3 p.m.- 6 p.m). The Maharashtra HSC time table 2021 should be referred to to create a productive study schedule.

In 2020, the time table for Mah Class 12th was released on October 15, 2019 on the official website. According to the Maharashtra HSC time table 2020, the exams were held from February 18 to March 18. Around 15 lakhs students registered for Maharashtra Board Class 12th exams.

Maharashtra HSC Exam Pattern 2021

Each exam is held for 100 marks, wherein 80 marks are allotted to theory and 20 marks to practicals/oral/project.
For subjects like Geology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, agriculture science and technology and animal science and technology - 70 marks are allotted for theory exam and 30 marks are fixed for practical/oral/project.
Each student requires to attain 35% marks in each subject to clear the examination.

  • Make a timetable in which there is a time slot for each subject

  • While studying, make short notes. These come handy when one is revising what they have already studied.  This way, they do not have to go through the entire text again.
  • Do not overburden yourself. Take short breaks in between study time

Maharashtra HSC Result 2021

MSBSHSE will announce the Maharashtra HSC Result 2021 in July on the official website. Students will be able to check their result using roll number and mother's first name. They can also check their result using the SMS facility. Maharashtra HSC result 2021 provides the basic details of a student along with subject-wise marks details.

In 2020, the Board had announced the Maharashtra HSC result 2021 on July 16 on the official website: mahresult.nic.in. The evaluation process was delayed due to COVID-19 spread across the country.

  • Click on the link HSC March 2021 result
  • A new login page will appear
  • Enter roll number and mother's first name
  • Submit details
  • Maharashtra HSC result 2021 will open on the screen
  • Take a printout or screenshot of the same and keep it safe

If not satisfied with the result, students can apply for revaluation along with the requisite fee. HSC Supplementary exam will be conducted in June/July. The Supplementary result is expected to be declared in the last week of July 2021.

Q: What is the schedule of the Maharashtra HSC 2021 exam?

A: The Maharashtra Board Higher Secondary exams will begin from April 23 and end on May 21, in the various designated exam centres across the state. The exams will be held in two shifts, morning and evening. The timing of morning and evening shifts are from 11 am to 2 pm and 3 pm to 6 pm respectively.

Online Board should give the idea to users at least in the month of December 2020 for the exams. The board has concluded the decision a little late. Students must get the time to study and prepare for the exams. Yes this will create problem in admission. But if the other contents of uploaded marksheet are correct with respect to board's marksheet than the issue can be resolved during the counselling.

But then you can do doctorate in one of the specialisations of physics which would be of use in aeronautical sciences.
