Yes, NIT Rourkela accepts admissions under the Bihar Student Credit Card (BSCCS) for various courses. Bihar Student Credit Card System provides financial aid to students to complete higher education. To be eligible for BSCC, applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar. The student should have pass Class 10/ Class 12 in Bihar and annual family income of the student must be less than INR 50,000.

No, for the General AI category students, the CLAT Round 1 cutoff saw a drop in the closing ranks, i.e. 1141, as compared to last year for admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)  courses. In 2025, the first round closing rank for the same course was 1278 in the General category. The drop in the cutoff rank this year indicates high demand for the BA LLB (Hons) course of NLU Patna.
