CDLU accepts BSc admissions through CUET UG exam score. A candidate must have a valid CUET UG score to get admitted to the university for pursuing a BSc. Based on these scores, CDLU prepares and releases a merit list of shortlisted candidates. Shortlisted candidates must confirm their admission by submitting the applicable fees. Hence, candidates seeking admission to the BSc courses of CDLU must regsiter for CUET UG timely.

To be eligible for CDLU's BSc and BSc (Hons) courses, a candidate must fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the university. The eligibility criteria require an applicant to have scored at least 40% in Class 12 in the stream of Science from a recognised board. These courses are offered through the CDLU University College, CDLU University School for Graduate Studies and the colleges affiliated with CDLU. The duration of BSc courses at the university is either three or four years, depending upon the specialisation chosen. The admission is based on a merit list prepared by the university based on the results of CUET UG. CDLU follows a seat reservation policy as per the guidelines of Haryana government. The reservation policy is as follows:
- 15% of the seats shall be open/unreserved and will be filled through All India Quota (AIQ) (including Haryana). Out of the 15% AIQ seats, 10% will be reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)
- Remaining 85% seats are reserved for bona fide residents of Haryana (State Quota) and will be filled up as
detailed below:
i) Haryana Open General Open Category (HOGC) - 40% of the State Quota

The lastest CDLU placement report not available yet. Based on the NIRF Report 2022, the average package offered during UG (3-year) placements of the university was INR 1.2 LPA. As per the student reviews on CDLU available on Shiksha.com, the top recruiting companies for BSc placements at CDLU are Tata, Reliance, Jio, and Jindal. The overall rating given to CDLU placements is 2.8/5. For most BSc specialisations, the placement opportunities were very limited and students had to search for the jobs on their own.
