Dear aspirant, The NIOS board is valid for Canada but it is not valid in all the Canadian colleges. Many Canadian Colleges don't take it as valid proof for taking the admission as it is considered inferior to the other Indian boards like ICSE/CBSE/UP Board. NIOS Certificate value in Canada is low in comparison to the United States. Those students who have done their senior secondary level from the NIOS and now they are planning to get admission to the colleges of Canada, will have to provide them with an authentic reason to justify their open school learning instead of formal learning. But if any student states wrong and is caught by the Canadian authority, their VISA can also be cancelled. Hence, these are the problems NIOS students face for admission in Canada after the 12th. The University of Toronto accepts the NIOS Certificate in Canada but the admission criteria are quite difficult for the students. They can also search a list of colleges accepting NIOS certificates in the USA as well as in Canada.
