The Teacher Eligibility Test, known as TET, is the minimum qualification required in India for a person to be eligible for an appointment as a teacher for Classes I to VIII. The test is mandatory for teaching jobs in Indian government schools. Similarly, UP Government introduced another qualifying after UPTET called Super TET. The TET is conducted by both the central and state governments of India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted to meet the objectives of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education ACT 2009. The TET Certificate is valid for a lifetime. The exam is based on the Government of India's National Curriculum Framework For Teacher Education and is a mandatory qualification for incoming teachers for Classes I through VIII. Teachers Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) conducts Tripura Teachers Eligibility Test Tripura TET or T-TET) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of teacher in the schools of Tripura. The exam is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for candidates who plan to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for candidates who want to teach classes 6 to 8. Candidates who qualify for the Tripura TET exam are awarded a Certificate that remains valid for seven years. It may be noted that T-TET is provisional in nature. This means that passing this exam does not entitle a job to the candidates. Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must have qualified for class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum score of 65% in order to pursue this course. The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years old.

According to the new rules declared by the MCI, all Indian students who wish to study medicine abroad must apply for an MCI Eligibility Certificate. The eligibility Certificate is the legal proof given by the MCI that the medical university that the student attends to study MBBS abroad is authorised by the MCI. According to the notice, a citizen of India or an Indian national who wishes to pursue medicine outside of India must obtain an eligibility Certificate from the MCI before leaving the country and will not be able to appear for the screening test without first obtaining this Certificate from the MCI. The eligibility Certificate was mandatory earlier as well, but it was discontinued in October 2013. The allotment of eligibility certificates was stopped, the reason being that there was too much of a backlog of issuance of these certificates. The application form for the issue of the eligibility Certificate may be obtained from the council office. The application form, along with the details required therein, may be submitted to the Council along with a demand draught in favour of the Secretary, MCI, New Delhi, for the prescribed sum. It may be understood that an eligibility Certificate will be issued by the Council only to such candidates who fulfil the criteria of the age of admission to the medical course and pass the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent or higher qualification) with the required percentage of marks as prescribed in the Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 1997, copies of which are available in the Council office on payment of Rs.100/-. The relevant extracts from these regulations are also available on the Council's website. A candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC has to produce a caste Certificate from the competent authority. Only after necessary verification, if the candidate fulfils the eligibility criteria, the Council shall issue an Eligibility Certificate to the candidate certifying that he/she is eligible to join a medical institution outside India to obtain a primary medical qualification. No candidate who has obtained admission into a foreign medical institution on or after March 15, 2002, shall be permitted to sit for the screening test for the purpose of registration in India unless he produces the Eligibility Certificate issued by the MCI.
