Hi, the very first step to gain admission to the B.E. in CSE specializing in Cloud Computing programme at Chandigarh University is to appear for the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) which is mandatory for pursuing Engineering education.

Clearing JEE Mains isn't mandatory for CSE at Chandigarh University. Instead, CU requires its own entrance test, CUCET, for BE CSE admissions. JEE Mains rank holders up to 50,000 are exempt, with top 25,000 ranks eligible for a full scholarship and ranks 25,001-50,000 receiving a 75% scholarship. Eligibility includes 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one additional subject like Chemistry or Computer Science, with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
The CUCET syllabus varies for Non-medical (English, Physics, Chemistry/Computers, Mathematics, Aptitude) and Medical streams (English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Aptitude).

The first thing that you have to consider is the eligibility criteria. So, the very first process that you have to follow is to appear for the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) which is a mandatory step for taking admission to the Engineering programs at Chandigarh University. There is one more query if JEE Main is important for B.E. Mechanical Engineering. It is totally your choice. But CUCET is compulsory with an exception for those who secure more than 90% marks in qualifying examinations or up to 50000 rank in JEE.
