Candidates must have completed their 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a recognised Board in the Science stream having Physics Chemistry and Math/ Biology as their main subjects. One may be required to appear for any entrance exams conducted such as IISER, UPCATET GSAT etc. And may sit for GD/PI round.

The Master of Science in Chemistry is a two-year programme with four semesters. Once they have received their graduate degree, students can continue with this course. Students must receive at least a 55% on their qualifying exam. Since I graduated from LPU, if you don't get accepted to an IIT, I recommend LPU for this programme. You are eligible for CSIR NAT NET in the last year of M.Sc. You can still apply after completion of M.Sc. The exam is being taken twice a year in January and July.

Those who wish to appear for UGC NET 2023 must follow the certain eligibility criteria:
Age limit:
For Junior Research Fellowship, the maximum age limit is 30 years. There is no upper age limit for Assistant Professor. Here is the eligibility for IIT JAM chem exam
Bachelors degree (at least 10+2+3) with Chemistry as a major/honours subject and Mathematics and Physics as other subjects, or
Candidates having a Bachelors degree (at least 10+2+3) without (Major/Honours) must have the concerned degree with (a) Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters, (b) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Mathematics (c) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Physics
or
Chemistry as a subject for three years of 6 semesters. Many IIT have different criteria. Go through admission brochure of IIT JAM. They don't ask for Maths as 12th subject. But still have query then contact the IIT

If a candidate satisfy the given below criteria then he/she is eligible for IIT JAM chem exam
Bachelors degree (at least 10+2+3) with Chemistry as a major/honours subject and Mathematics and Physics as other subjects, or
Candidates having a Bachelors degree (at least 10+2+3) without (Major/Honours) must have the concerned degree with (a) Chemistry as a subject for three years/six semesters, (b) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Mathematics (c) Minimum 2 (Two) courses in Physics
While some demands only Chemistry as a subject for three-years or 6 semesters.
