It is simple, concentrate more on inorganic chemistry and prepare only the naming of organic compounds part from the organic chemistry. Leave everything else from the organic part. You will be able to score good.

I will suggest you to go for B.Sc/B.Tech biotechnology, as Biotechnology is more diverse field compared to microbiology.
As correctly defined by UN convention on Biological Diversity, Art. 2 any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms or derivatives thereof, to make or modify products or processes for specific use.
