LPU offers following computer applications and information technology programs:
1) BCA 3 years. (6 Semesters)
2) Dual Degree BCA-MCA 5 years. (10 Semesters)
3) BCA (Hons. ). 3 years. (6 Semesters)
4) Dual Degree BCA (Hons. ). MCA (Hons. )5 years. (10 Semesters)
5) B.Sc. (Computer Science)3 years. (6 Semesters)
6) B.Sc. (Information Technology) 3 years. (6 Semesters)
The Eligibility Criteria is:
Pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or equivalent. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) (10% relaxation to outstanding Sports Persons (I. e. A/A+ category as per Sports Scholarship), Subject to verification from Selection committee* of the University)
So, you don't need to have any compulsory IT subject for pursuing the above programs.

Hi,You have acquired a good score in your XIth class. The score of JEEMains might not be very supportive, keeping in mind the competitive scenario of admissions. Another thing is maybe you are not able to get the seat in a stream you want to pursue your career. Yes you can apply for PES, RNS, VIT and check the availability of a seat in the counselling in a stream in which you want to go. But at the same time try for other college seat preferences too so that at least you have a back up plan. You can browse ANNA and appear for TANCET a name to reckon. You can check LPU, a brand name for premier companies ' jobs. So browse good colleges and check for the best alternatives too. Hope my answer will be a help!

There are some chances that you will get a seat in RNSIT Bangalore which is especially known for its innovative teaching. The cut off has yet to be announced, as it would be according to average of the performance of the students of that batch. A lot depends on the desired stream. The seat in your desired stream might be a little questionable, though hope for the best. You can also check from their web site for the same. The desired stream, that is the stream in which you want to pursue your B.Tech may have to be compromised. In the meanwhile you can also browse some other good colleges like LPU which is best known for its innovative projects and the best companies have picked their students for enviable positions and is ranked as one of the top university in India. SRM also could be a good choice. You need to pursue your career in a stream about which you are passionate because then only you will be able to give your best to achieve your goal. So browse some good college web sites as well for a seat in your desired stream as online admissions are in full swing and the seats are filling up fast.
