I would suggest to you LD. You will get the freedom into study, whatever you want to learn- new technology or thing apart from your engineering syllabus, you can get time in LD. While in Nirma, only concentration is on engineering syllabus. You will also have to follow their culture and just follow the engineering syllabus. I suggest you for future job or businesses. You must have your own inner talent, during the engineering, 100% your inner talent is grown but for that, you need a TIME and that will. You can get into LD not in Nirma. One more factor is fee structure. Nirma is having more than one Lacs rupees fee, on other hand LD - o

First of all, I would like to tell you that both the colleges are not good enough to have core electronics placement. (That is the worst part of this field). It's good for students who want to pursue Masters or M.Tech. If you are looking for a job after BE, then you will have to compromise and work in IT industry. Both branches can appear for Telecommunication placements but EXTC has better cards there. Think twice before taking these fields. But if you have only two options, then choose Somaiya.
Hope this helps. All the best :)

I would suggest NIT-Suratkal. You must have used your first year to find out a broad field of interest and your second to find topics which you are passionate about. For this, use the internet or talk to your seniors and batch mates. Once you are at this stage, find out which of your seniors/batchmates are working on the same topic and ask for help to start off.
Good luck.

Things might be complicated at this time, the major concern will go in the favour your interest. I compared those data's I think BITs production is much more better. Few reason to support my answer:-
Good infrastructure
Experienced faculty members
And the most important reason is Placement. (88%). .

See you are opting for quite an outdated course. The scope and opportunities are very less. Talking about placement, it more or less lacks everywhere in civil branch. After all, you will be hired by a mass recruiter only (most probably). If possible, select a better stream. And if you want civil only, I can say both the institutes are good. Yes, IIEST Shibpur has the oldest civil department, but I can't say about the labs and facilities whether they are latest or not. Having a legacy doesn't imply that it will be good. If possible, explore both. Talking about NIT Durgapur, I've heard many complaints regarding placement but can't tell a

KCC is a good college to be considered for B.Tech. You can expect enriching industrial exposure and guest lectures. The placement cell provides multiple chances to the student, but they are not so great. Sports facility is amazing. IEC is the worst college. No practical exposure. Labs are just for namesake. Management really ***, only that thing I learned here is how to pass the exam in one night. B.Tech here is an illusion that will break at the time of placement. I am giving you pros and cons if you want to consider GNIOT as an option. Pros:
Good infrastructure and peaceful, serene environment (especially, there is no traffic around t
