NIT Durgapur admissions for MTech is based on GATE score. The institute offers seats under Sponsored and Self-Sponsored Category. After qualifying GATE, candidates are required to come for CCMT Counselling. GATE cutoffs are released online, aspirants with score equal or above cutoff, become eligible for counselling. Aspirants need to register for CCMT Counselling to become eligible for seat allotment. Selected candidates are required to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.

MTech is one of the popular courses of NIT Durgapur. NIRF has ranked NIT Durgapur at 44 in 2024 rankings under 'Engineering' Category. It is one of the recognised NITs of India offering two-year M.Tech programme. Candidates have an option of 18 specialisations in M.Tech at NIT Durgapur. Once completed, M.Tech students can participate in the placement drive of the institute. TCS, JP Morgan, Oracle, and many other renowned companies participated in NIT Durgapur placements 2023.

Students wishing to apply for hostel have to pay an additional amount. NIT Durgapur does have mess service for which students need to pay a separate charge.

Yes, Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College can be considered as a good college. Here are some factors:-
Placements: Companies such as TCS and numerous others offer deals over 4.1 LPA to nearly 75% of the students. Colleges only offer internships to a relatively tiny percentage of students. The companies offer top roles like manager, software developer, and other roles.
Infrastructure: Excellent classrooms with fast Wi-Fi, a well-equipped technological lab, and good infrastructure are available. Since I live in this town, I'm not familiar with the hostel, but I do have friends there, and they have told me that they provide excellent hospitalit
